At eXp, you are not just an agent. You have the opportunity to become an owner.
Unlike traditional brokerages, eXp gives agents access to equity programs designed to reward production, contribution, and long-term alignment with the company’s growth.
Ownership changes the conversation. You are building income and enterprise value at the same time.
eXp Realty is publicly traded under the symbol EXPI. That means agents can earn stock in multiple ways based on performance and participation.
There are three core ways agents participate in ownership:
• Production-based stock awards
• ICON Agent award stock
• Voluntary stock purchase program
Each program has specific qualifications and timelines. Rather than summarize every detail here, we want you using the official and most up-to-date resource directly from eXp.
Agents can earn stock tied to key production milestones, including:
• First transaction each anniversary year
• Reaching cap
• Qualifying for ICON
These awards are designed to align agent production with company growth.
Agents may voluntarily allocate 5% of each commission toward purchasing EXPI stock at a 5% discount.
This program allows agents to intentionally build equity over time alongside their production.
You'll be surprised how fast it adds up!
The ICON Agent Award is one of the most powerful elements of the ownership model.
Agents who meet production requirements and cultural contribution standards may receive their full cap amount back in stock.
This converts high production into long-term equity participation.
The ownership programs are powerful, but they are also technical. Award amounts, vesting schedules, enrollment windows, and eligibility requirements can change.

The second section from the top will have tabs for your Capping Report and Transaction Report.
You won't see the stocks broken out as a line item on a CDA because it's not something the title company needs to know about. What you will see is the 5% purchase deducted from the net net GCI. In the example below, the example on the left (green) shows that the agent is enrolled in the program and how that is deducted on the CDA. The column on the right is for an agent that is not enrolled in the stock purchase program and there is no deduction on the CDA.
